Collections
Quick answer: the Collections hub is how the catalog is organised by build and material rather than by slot count. Every winder in it is a real product from the shop floor, priced from $70 to $2,160, with a median of $270. If you already know how many watches you need to wind, go straight to the capacity categories. If you are choosing a look, a material or a place for it in a room, start here.
What sits inside the hub
The collections group four families. Wood is the largest by far: 93 models across walnut, cherry, oak and mixed hardwood, and it is where most collectors land first because wood damps motor noise better than plastic and looks like furniture rather than an appliance. Ebony holds 21 models at the premium end, striped ebony with a lacquered finish. Bamboo is the budget-natural option with 5 models, all in a tight $60 to $140 band. Leather and PU leather cover 19 models in travel and desk formats, from $70 single boxes to $259 triple rolls. Browse them here: wooden watch winders, ebony series, bamboo winders, leather winders.
The series that are not about material
Four series cut across materials and answer a different question. Battery powered (43 models) is for shelves without an outlet, safes and travel. Storage series (37 models) adds drawers or extra compartments to a winder, so straps, tools and a second watch live in the same box. Ingenuity (12 models) is the experimental end: LCD touch panels, twelve-slot towers, motor arrays. Black series (17 models) and fashion series (14 models) are the finish-first options for a room where the winder is on show. Jump in: battery powered watch winders, winders with storage, ingenuity series.
How to choose between the collections
Three questions settle it. First, will you ever hear it? If the winder lives in a bedroom, wood or bamboo with a shielded motor beats any cosmetic finish, because motor noise is the single most common complaint about cheap units. Second, is the watch over $3,000? Then the material matters less than the cushion fit and the shielding, and both are covered in our guide to wood versus bamboo versus leather. Third, how many watches rotate? One or two means the material is the whole decision; five or more means capacity and storage decide for you, and the 2026 buying guide walks that trade-off through with prices.
Prices across the hub
The median winder in collections costs $270. The cheapest unit is a $70 single leather box; the most expensive is a $2,160 lockable watch safe. Between them, the honest pattern is that material accounts for roughly $150 of movement up or down, while capacity accounts for the rest. A four-slot hardwood unit lands near $299; an eight-slot cabinet starts at $300 and reaches $4,299 at 24 slots. If budget is the constraint, the per-slot maths in our 2026 price report shows five and six slot units are the cheapest way to buy capacity.
